questions.
Do I need to be on Square?
Yes. Comptoir runs on Square Point of Sale and Square for Restaurants in Australia. If you're on another POS, we can help you plan the switch.
How long until the app is live?
Your ordering website can go live the day you connect. The apps follow once App Store and Google Play review is done, usually within a week. See our launch promise above.
Do you take a cut of orders?
No. You pay one flat monthly price. Square's usual card fees apply, the same as in store.
Can customers pay without card fees?
Yes. As well as Apple Pay, Google Pay and cards, customers can pay with PayTo, straight from their Australian bank account. You skip card fees on those orders; PayTo payments have their own processing fee, set by the payment provider.
Can I stay on Uber Eats, DoorDash or Menulog?
Yes. Lots of venues keep the marketplaces for new customers and move their regulars onto their own app, where there's no commission.
